Overview

Eg Chehttro Vÿ was founded durring the early 13th century in winter of the year 1204, by Rä̌shīy Ma̋ch 'Shanti Ivory' Bér Ha̋ń Ca̋nvé̄r Hutchäyel. The establishment of Eg Chehttro Vÿ was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Rä̌shīy Ma̋ch 'Shanti Ivory' Bér Ha̋ń Ca̋nvé̄r Hutchäyel struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Eg Chehttro Vÿ as a prison colony.

Eg Chehttro Vÿ was built using the conventions of Dwarvern durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Eg Chehttro Vÿ is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Eg Chehttro Vÿ is buildings are grouped arround an odd layout of narrow paverstone streets, which seems to be based on an overlapping squair patern such that there are small squares at the cornor of every bigger square. Sometimes buildings exist in the smaller squaires, other times they are open spaces, or occupied by temporary structures. The town is protected by a series of wooden fences ringing the town's parimiter, which are likly intended to keep varrious beasts out of town rather than protect it from attack by any intelegent agents. The town's bare minimum defences are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the towns defences.

Right off the bat Eg Chehttro Vÿ hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this town has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. The town is very clearly a joyfull place as well as wealthy. Music can be heard often, as well as laughter. The smell of food and drink permiates the air. You can’t help but smile.

Cultural Notes

A substantial minority of the locals are descended from foreigners alien to their local neighbors. They may have been religious exiles, economic migrants, indigenous locals surrounded by the existing polity, or a foreign settlement conquered within the relatively recent past. The locals may not be enthusiastic about being ruled by others not of their kind, and their neighbors may look askance at the way foreign customs or even laws may be maintained.

Eg Chehttro Vÿ's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is based upon new and innovative technologies of construction and the idea that form should follow function. It was an embrace of minimalism and a rejection of ornament. The style became characterized by an emphasis on volume, asymmetrical compositions, and minimal ornamentation..
